It’s a myth that personality can’t be molded or changed. My 13 year old nephew was going through a trauma when his both of the parents passed away from COVID attack. But luckily we were there all along with my sister’s family in support. My nephew’s mind was always working towards negative activities and he completely lost power to concentrate and imagine new things. He was a very amicable boy and used to crack joke by the minute, all that was lost. We came across Madhumita through therapyroute and has been ever grateful since. His mental approach to things and thinking positively has partially resumed – at least he can now play the mouth organ and flute he used to play so passionately. Obviously it’s work in progress, but we’re immensely happy seeing this change in personality in him.

Can traumatic experiences lead to a transformation in personality, and how can therapy and support help in reshaping one’s mindset and behaviors?

Hi, Yes traumatic experiences can have an impact on one’s personality. In trauma-informed therapy, we work on the past traumas to heal them so that it no longer affect your present or future.
